Fandom Whore Recs

Starsky and Hutch was one of my first "older" fandoms, and the first "con" fandom. Let's face it - you won't notice the slash in that fandom if you're completely blind, deaf and totally in denial. "Working His Ass Off" is realistic, really funny, and pretty damned hot, which is all I ask of a good S&H fic.

LotR is perhaps my first fandom ever (although I didn't write fanfic back in 1993. I pretended my cat was Legolas and roleplayed on the phone with my cat's brother's owner.) I have been a total Aragorn fangirl since I got to the chapter with the Prancing Pony and encountered the tall stranger all these years ago. Thus, here are two Aragorn fics that I've particularly enjoyed... (And there are more Aragorn recs to come. Muahaha.)

"A Merry Meeting At Bree" & "The Ranger Song" by maya_ar - These two fics are really great on different levels. If you're at all familiar with "The Lumberjack Song", you will start singing "The Ranger Song" while giggling like an idiot, because it's a fun little filk. "A Merry Meeting At Bree" made me squee, because it fulfilled one of my secret desires. It's a nice fill-in-the-loose-end/futurefic, and as a bonus, it features Nob!
